### **Background – Step 1: Clarity (The Foundation)**

Clarity is the foundation of any funnel. Without it, nothing else matters. Most funnels fail because they're unclear: unclear offer, unclear audience, or unclear next step.

When a potential customer lands on a page, they should **instantly** know:

1. **What is this?** – What are you offering? (Product, service, lead magnet, etc.)
2. **Who is it for?** – Who is the specific audience or customer this is meant to help?
3. **What's next?** – What is the next step they should take? (e.g., "Buy now," "Sign up," "Schedule a call")

**The 5-Second Test:** If a first-time visitor can't answer all three questions in roughly 5 seconds or less, the page fails the clarity test.

**Tips for Clarity:**

* **Clear value proposition:** State exactly what you offer and who it's for in simple language. Specificity sells.
* **Identify target audience upfront:** Call out who you serve or the scenario they're in.
